Lee Appleyard takes to the ring tomorrow night concentrating on getting the job done against opponent Michael Williams.

But if the Rotherham fighter wins, his mind will go straight to the priority - winning titles.

And that could just bring him into contact with Sheffield's English Super Lightweight title champion Sam O'maison.

That would be a cracking derby duel.

Appleyard, who takes part in his 18th professional fight, at Doncaster Dome, said: "I've not seen much of Sam O'maison, but we shared a few rounds sparring several years ago and he's a real fighter willing to fight, as you can see from his record.

"I'd be willing to fight any fighter for the right belt..."

Appleyard's career is being plotted by Stefy Bull, who promotes Saturday night's show.

The boxer says: "There's no secret with Stefy, he's basically a straight-talking manager and you know your getting exactly what's on the tin!

"I see Stefy as a friend, not just a manager and I know he wants what's best for his fighters so he puts in the hard work."
