Police boxing enthusiasts have raised £3,000 for the Macmillan cancer charity by holding a tournament in Sheffield.
The event, which took place in August at the South Yorkshire force’s Niagara Sports and Social Club, was organised by PCSO supervisor Shaun Davis and his colleague PC Darren McKenna.
Mr Davis said: “The event was a sell-out and a huge success.
“People donated cash without hesitation and bought a number of auction items that had been donated.”
He added: “We have already been asked to look to another event in 2014.”
