Professional boxer Sam O’Maison was knocked out and the winner was a children’s charity.
Sam, who is sponsored by DBL Logistics, joined workers from the firm tin the ‘It’s a Knockout’ Challenge at Dinnington Rugby Club – a fun take on the 90s hit TV show, featuring crazy costumes, giant foams and slides.
The event raised money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in nearby North Anston.
DBL MD David Clarkson said: “This event was as enjoyable as it was mad – it’s always great to get involved with occasions organised by fantastic charities such as Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
“Bluebell Wood is an amazing charity which we have supported in a number of ways over the years and we’ll no doubt support them again soon.
“Special thanks go out to Sam O’Maison, for taking time out of his busy schedule to take part and help raise money for a fantastic cause. I hope our support goes some way to helping the charity carry on the fantastic work it does for this city.”
Jo Berry, events fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “It was great to have DBL Logistics on board for our It’s A Knockout event. It was brilliant to see so many of our supporters getting involved in what was as always a really fun event.”
“Events such as these are vital for us to be able to continue supporting children with life limiting illnesses and their families at both our hospice in North Anston and out in the community.”
“I’d encourage anybody who sees this event across social media to get involved and donate – every penny counts and goes towards a fantastic cause.”
