Shoeboxes crammed with goodies were delivered to Sheffield Cathedral’s Archer Project for the vulnerable and homeless by members of the Junior Chamber International.

A total of 127 boxes was collected at the group’s annual meeting after JCI member Gareth Carson put out an appeal.

He said: “The thought of people on the streets at any time of the year really upsets me, but especially at Christmas.”
