Booze bust in Bradwell

A CRACKDOWN on underage drinking in a Peak District village led to the confiscation of more than 20 cans of lager.

Police in Bradwell seized the lager during a patrol of a park.

Officers from the Hathersage Area Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team found the stash of unopened cans in a secluded area at Town Bottom during a routine patrol.

PCSO Anthony Boswell said: “We hope that by confiscating this stash we will have helped to prevent further issues relating to underage drinking or anti-social behaviour taking place.”

“Our team continues to target nuisance or anti-social behaviour to keep reports low and the area a safe and pleasant place for the local community.”
