Pamela Kennedy, aged 65, was reported missing from the Hoylandswaine area of Barnsley on Monday.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Emergency services looking for Pamela Kennedy, reported missing from the Hoylandswaine area of Barnsley on Monday, have recovered a body in their search.

"Yesterday morning, a woman’s body was recovered from Langsett Reservoir, which has now been formally identified as Pamela.

"Her family are being supported by specialist officers and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.

"Pamela’s death is not being treated as suspicious."
