A MAN with a history of mental health problems and alcohol use was found dead on the floor of his Sheffield home, an inquest heard.
Adrian West’s lifeless body was discovered on the floor of his bedsit on Beaufort Road, Broomhill.
Opening the inquest into the 39-year-old’s death, coroner Christopher Dorries read a statement provided by coroner’s officer John Orwin, who had spoken to Adrian’s mother Faye, from Stradbroke, Sheffield.
Mr Dorries said Adrian was born in Sheffield and lived alone at Beaufort Road.
“Mr West had a history of mental health problems and alcohol use,” he told Sheffield Coroner’s Court.
Adrian’s body was found on Tuesday, March 27, by key worker Radouan Kharbach, Mr Dorries added.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and a paramedic pronounced Adrian dead at just before 12.40pm.
Faye identified her son’s body.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
