It is understood the body is of a person who is believed to have died on February 11. The coroner ordered the investigation on February 23.

A spokesman for William Hill said: “We can confirm that police were called to a William Hill betting shop in Broxholme Lane to deal with what appears to be a sudden death.

“We do not believe that the death is related to gambling in anyway and the individual concerned had entered the betting shop and gone straight to the toilet area.

“This is a police matter and therefore we are not at liberty to give any further details.”
