Body found by police in search for missing man

Police officers searching for a missing man from Shirebrook have found a body.

Brad Ward, aged 23, was reported missing by his family on Saturday after he failed to return home from a night out.

This morning, Derbyshire Police announced that a body, believed to be that of Mr Ward, has been found in a disused quarry in Mansfield Woodhouse.

Mr Ward left his family home in Shirebrook at 5.30pm on Friday and friends spotted him leave the Gate Inn pub, in King Edward Street, three hours later.
