Bobby Darin's my favourite
By coincidence the mostly forgotten Bobby Darin would also have been 80 this year, May 14.
In my opinion he was the greatest all-round entertainer ever.

He was nominated for an Oscar, all this with very poor health.
He had bouts of rheumatic fever as a child and wasn’t expected to reach adulthood, because of a damaged heart.
With the help of medication the doctors kept him going until he was 35, when he had his first of two heart valve operations.
At 37 he needed another operation, but he died without regaining consciousness.
