Two Doncaster residents have been fined after using dead relatives’ blue badges to park in disabled bays.
Michelle Gilley, aged 35 of Broughton Road in Bessacarr pleaded guilty to Doncaster magistrates on May 18, 2011. She was fined £135 and ordered to pay £202 costs.
Graham Clarke, aged 60, of Bristol Grove, Wheatley admitted using the badge of his dead wife. He was fined £65 and ordered to pay costs of £202.
Coun Cynthia Ransome, Doncaster Council cabinet member for communities, said: “Blue badge fraud is a big problem nationally which we are committed to tackling in Doncaster.”
