Blaze leads to partial closure of Rotherham bus station

A bus blaze in Rotherham has led to the partial closure of the town's interchange.

A single decker was found alight at the interchange in Frederick Street in the town centre at 10.40pm yesterday.

The cause is not yet known but there is some disruption to bus users because of damage to the station.

Rotherham Interchange's ‘A’ platforms are closed until further notice.

Service X78 towards Doncaster will now use B1.

Service 22a/22C towards Wath will use B2.

Service 10/27/29 will use C4.

Service 14/34 will use B8

Service 15 will use B9

Service 40/42 will use B10

Services operating inbound to Corporation Street will terminate at Wilkos.

Services operating outbound towards Wharncliffe Street will operate via College Road Roundabout and St Ann's Roundabout and back to Wharncliffe Street.
