A charitable group of Sheffield crafters have created 16 patchwork lap quilts, which they’ve donated to Hurlfield View residential home.

The Monday Quilters, who meet every week at Loosemore Social Centre in Gleadless, obtained a community grant to make the quilts, which they started working on back in June.

Club secretary Enid Hibbit, 74, said: “It’s been a lovely project and means a lot to us to be able to do something nice for someone else at this time of year.”
