Sheffield United chairman Jim Phipps, Sheffield MP Louise Haigh and the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield were on the VIP list for a performance of The Wizard of Oz in Sheffield.

The production was put on by over 60 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in Jordanthorpe Chapel.

Cast members were aged between six and 60 years old.

VIP guests met the cast and church leaders after the performance to discuss the work of the church in Sheffield.

Lay Minister Mark Dundon, who supports 10 congregations in and around Sheffield, said: “As followers of Jesus Christ a core belief of church members is that families can be forever, this show has also helped families be together and work together - it’s been such a lot of fun for everyone.”

Mr Phillps said: “The whole cast was great.”
