Sheffield United reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 1993 thanks to a 2-0 defeat of Charlton in a memorable afternoon at Bramall Lane.

Nigel Clough dedicated the win to the players and the fans with the Blades cut to 14/1 to lift the trophy (Arsenal the 4/9 favourites) with BetVictor and who would put it past them, having racked up ten wins on the spin now, after victory over Carlisle last night. United travel to Wembley for a cup semi-final with Hull City on Sunday 13th April and are 9/2 outsiders against the Premier League opposition who are the 3/5 favourites and 29/10 that the game needs extra time.

Nigel Clough takes his men to Preston on Monday night bidding to continue United’s fine form and they are 13/5 to leave Deepdale with all three points, the Lillywhites 23/20 and 12/5 the draw. In the form that the Blades are in, who would go against them?

Rotherham continue to impress in League One, now unbeaten in their last eleven games and winning six of their last eight. With Brentford, Orient and Wolves challenging for the promotion spots they may have to settle for a play-off spot however but there will be no resting on their laurels when Walsall arrive at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

Steve Evans’ side can pour more misery on The Saddlers, who were turned over 3-0 in a Midlands derby last week and Rotherham are deserved 20/23 favourites with BetVictor, Walsall 17/5 and the draw 13/5. The Millers have won two of their last three games to nil and look a fair price at 11/5 to beat the Saddlers without conceding and a repeat of the 2-0 defeat of Oldham in midweek is 17/2 with BetVictor.
