Children will learn how to keep Sheffield stainless with an anti-littering campaign today.

Mascot Phil the Bin is being launched by Sheffield Council in Tudor Square so youngsters can learn about recycling and how to keep the city clean.

Phil will also appear at Peace in the Park at Netherthorpe and is as part of the Sheffield Stainless campaign launched earlier this year.

Streets Ahead Street cleaning manager Sara Bradley said: “Phil the Bin is looking forward to coming along on Saturday to meet children at the festival so if you are in town today, pop by and say hello.”
