Bikes seized by police patrol

THREE men in their early 20s have had their off-road motorbikes seized by police after residents complained about rogue riders in the Balby area of Doncaster.

Officers from the Balby Safer Neighbourhood Team liaised with the community to gain information on who was responsible.

During a routine patrol, officers witnessed three off road motorbikes on Waverley Avenue but the riders made off.

Thanks to the work with the community, the SNT officers recognised one of them and knew his address, which they visited.

They found three motorbikes in the back garden, which were seized.

Sgt John Hunter said: “Without the help of the community we would not have been able to identify the offenders and subsequently seize the bikes.”
