Bikers warned of thefts spate

BIKERS are being urged to step up their security following a spate of thefts and attempted thefts.

Police in Staveley, north Derbyshire, are increasing patrols following a number of incidents, including the theft of a motorbike from the garden on Plover Way, Calow, between midnight and 5am on Saturday, February 25, and the theft of a bike from a driveway on Laburnum Street, Hollingwood, between 8pm on Thursday, February 23, and 5.30am the following day.

They were both found abandoned.

Thieves also attempted to steal scooters from Bevan Drive, Inkersall, and Fern Avenue and Middlecroft Road South, Staveley, over recent days.
