A BIKER was helped to an ambulance by members of Edale Mountain Rescue Team after falling and crashing into a tree while cycling in Eyam.
He was riding down a track when he crashed and when rescue team volunteers reached him they found he had dislocated his shoulder and broken his arm.
The biker was also treated for possible neck and back injuries by paramedics also called out to help.
The incident was the ninth to be dealt with by Edale Mountain Rescue Team in August alone and the 76th of the year to date.
Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team also dealt with an injured biker over the weekend after he came off his bike on the Cut Gate track, near Penistone.
The 38-year-old, from Barnsley, flew over his handlebars and was treated for a suspected fractured collar bone.
