A BARNSLEY motorcyclist died in a collision with a lorry on a road affected by patchy fog, police have revealed

The 46-year-old was riding along the A612 near Selby, North Yorkshire, at 6.15am yesterday when his Yamaha struck the nearside of the lorry and left the road.

A 44-year-old Tadcaster man, who was driving the lorry, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

PC Roger Walker said: “At the time of the collision there was patchy fog in the area. Although it is too early to say if this was a factor.”
