Biker hurt in car collision

A MAN was seriously injured when his motorcycle was in collision with a four-wheel-drive car in Mexborough.

A dark blue and silver Mitsubishi Pajero was travelling from Conisbrough on the A6023 Doncaster Road when the car ahead slowed to turn right into Montagu Street.

A blue Honda Varadero motorcycle travelling in the same direction then collided with the rear of the Mitsubishi, throwing the rider from the bike. It happened around 5pm on Saturday.

The Honda rider, a 47-year-old Conisbrough man, sustained serious injuries and was detained at Rotherham District General Hospital with a broken pelvis.
