A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured in a collision in Sheffield.

The men, aged 18 and 21, were travelling along Abbeydale Road on Suzuki Bandit motorbike when it was involved in a collision with a Nissan Almera at 5.30pm on Sunday.

The smash occurred close to the junction with Arnside Road.

Police said the bike then collided with a parked Land Rover Discovery and the two men, from the Gleadless area, were thrown from the machine.

The men were taken to hospital, where they are described as being in a serious condition.

It is thought that the 24-year-old man from Crosspool, who was driving the Nissan, was unhurt.

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
