CAMPAIGNERS aiming to make combining cycling and train travel easier will hold a meeting at Sheffield railway station tomorrow.
The Northern Rail Cycle Forum, a group of rail specialist and local authority representatives, will meet to promote their Bike ‘n’ Ride initiative.
Northern Rail Cycle Forum Secretariat Simon Geller said: “Northern’s innovative allows people to leave their bike securely at their local station and pick up another bike at their destination station to complete their journey. Sheffield station could certainly benefit from this approach.”
The meeting is only open to members but a bike ride before and after are both open to the public.
The first starts at the train station at 10.30am and the second leaves from the Chimney House, Kelham Island, at 4pm.
