ROTHERHAM’S Boston Castle will be a big draw during the half-term break when it hosts a national event especially for young people and families.
The newly-restored 18th century castle will be the local venue for the national Big Draw event on Tuesday when children are invited to create their own models of special buildings to go into Rotherham’s very own Tiny Town.
The event, organised by Rotherham Council’s heritage staff, is geared towards children aged four to 10, who are accompanied by an adult.
The restored former hunting lodge will still be open to the public all day but there will be no access to the roof during the two sessions.
Two sessions will run from 11 am until 12.15pm and from 1pm until 2.15pm. The event will cost £2.50 per child.
Due to the limited availability, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
n Places are limited so it is advisable to book or reserve a place at Clifton Park Museum before the event, either in person or by phone on 01709 336633.
