Bid to save village area
RESIDENTS in Beighton are being invited to have their say on what will come of a run-down playground in the heart of the village.
Plans to transform the area, between Lime Street and Sycamore Street, into a modern ‘Generation Activity Park’ will be discussed at a meeting in the Limes Community Centre from 10am to 2pm tomorrow.
Friends of GAP Secretary Christine Lupton said: “The group comprises local residents who are passionate and determined to save and enhance one of the few open green public spaces in Beighton”.
