BETTY Naylor has received a cheque for £340 after Action Desk intervened to help ease her travel insurance claim.
Faced with all the red tape on top of suffering blackouts and dizzy spells she had abandoned her claim in frustration.
Betty, aged 85, and husband Bill, 84, were planning a coach holiday to the Lakes when she fell ill.
But after a call from Action Desk, bosses at insurers Towergate Chapman Stevens agreed to deal with the travel company directly.
Now a cheque has arrived.
Betty, of Buck Wood View, Gleadless, said: “We were surprised, thanks so much.”
