She said: “This has been a momentous year for our school in so many ways with one of the highlights being at Christmas when we brought the whole school together for the first time in recent history for our Christmas Carol Service at Sheffield City Hall.

“Now we have even more to be proud of as our students and staff have produced some stunning results on both the old and the new measures. The most important thing is that 100 per cent of our young people gained a qualification and so many achieved grades at the top of their expectations, which is equally important whatever those grades are.

“This year, 81 per cent of students met the Government’s new expectations, 45 per cent achieved the EBacc, 27 students (10 per cent) gained eight or more A*/A grades alongside many more stunning individual performances.

“I am delighted for our whole school community and excited at the possibilities the future holds.

“I must also congratulate my colleagues across the board who have led students gaining results amongst the best in the country. We work extremely hard all year round and today is what it is all about; enabling our young people to be the best they can be and helping them on to the next stage in their educational journey.”
