Bereaved Worksop coupe raise £35k for special room at hospital

A Worksop couple who lost their newborn twins and set up a charity to support other bereaved parents have raised over £35,000.

Emma and Matthew Pearson set up JOEL The Complete Package after their twins Noel and James, were stillborn in 2011.

They are fundraising to create a room on the labour ward at Bassetlaw Hospital, which will be used for other families who find themselves in the same situation as they were.

Emma said: “The staff at Bassetlaw hospital were incredible in helping Matthew and I get through the difficult days that followed and we decided we wanted to give something back and have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the local community.”

Work on the new room will start this month.
