A huge fire has broken out at the Spanish holiday resort of Benidorm – a favourite with British tourists.

This pictured is taken near the outdoor market in a old house and on waste land but close to a gas compound.
It is believed to be visible for miles along the coastline.
A spokesman said: “It is the waste lands and spreading. It can be seen from Calpe.”
