Marmite and Ben & Jerry’s fans across the country are heading for disappointment after the products were pulled from Tesco in a price dispute.
Unilever, which supplies the vegetable spread Marmite, along with Hellman’s Mayonnaise and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream tubs, has fallen out with the supermarket giant over an intention to put prices up.
When Tesco refused, it is reported, Unilever stopped deliveries.
It is thought the dispute comes due to the fall in the value of the pound - which is currently at a historic 168-year-low - triggered by Brexit.
Once stocks are gone, they are not going to be replenished, at least until the dispute is resolved.
UPDATE: It seems the issue may not be confined to Tesco. National sources tonight are now reporting that Unilever is demanding a 10% price rise at all retailers on its products.
Now we’ve got a FULL LIST of all the products affected, including Lynx, Pot Noodle, Vaseline, Walls ice cream and MUCH more - FULL LIST of all the products pulled in Brexit price row
