Beer festival back in the city

Have your say

More than a hundred real ales, lagers and craft beers, fruit beers and ciders will be unveiled at The University of Sheffield Students’ Union and Real Ale Society Beer and Cider Festival this month.

The three-day festival will kicks off on Friday April 29 with a German Day theme, with a German bar, featuring steins of Pilsner, bratswurst and lederhosen. On Saturday, there will be a full day of craft beer, bourbon and BBQ, before ‘Pig and Cider day’ on the Sunday, with a free range hog roast served by Roney’s Butchers of Sharrowvale Road.

There’s good news for gin lovers too, with a ‘pop-up’ gin bar on Friday and Saturday.

Admission to the festival, held at the Students’ Union building in Western Bank, is free every day from 2pm to midnight.
