Be a dignity champion

Have your say

A CAMPAIGN to find Derbyshire care and social workers who improve the lives of residents by promoting dignity and respect is launched later today.

The recruitment drive for Dignity Champions is being spearheaded by Derbyshire County Council and NHS Derbyshire County, with anyone working in the social care and health sectors were invited to the launch.

The scheme works by using champions to encourage colleagues to work towards bronze, silver and gold standards awards.

Derbyshire County Council member for adult care Coun Charles Jones said: “We want to encourage more people to sign up as champions but to also give active meaning to the role by checking their services against the bronze, silver and gold standards.”
