Bawtry doctor in court over sexual assault charges

A Doncaster doctor accused of indecent and sexual assault on 13 women is due to appear in court.

Andrew Johnson, 61, of Station Road, Bawtry, is charged with ten charges of indecent assault and three of sexual assault.

The alleged assaults are believed to have taken place at a doctor’s surgery on Station Road in Bawtry over a period of 27 years, from 1978 to 2005, while he worked there.

The alleged assaults are on 13 women, who were aged between 14 and 46-years-old at the time.

He will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on tuesday October 15.
