Provide Education was founded by former teacher Barry Simmons and co-founder Katie Buckle, a recruitment specialist.

Barry said: “Following year-on-year growth for nine years, our workload increased phenomenally in 2015.

“We took more than 500 calls to get teachers in to classrooms and provide vital cover for lessons in November – and that made it our busiest month ever.

“We can only see our business growing again as we enter our 10th year because we are working with more and more schools across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.”

The agency’s priority for 2016 is to sign up 30 per cent more teachers.

Barry added: “We firmly believe our sustained growth, and steep rise in demand, is down to our growing reputation and our clients’ confidence in our standards of service and robust employment procedures.

“We have built strong relationships with job candidates and schools and are committed to supporting the education sector.”

Provide Education also supports the schools it works with through initiatives such as corporate sponsorship of football kits.
