Barnsley MP fears loss of quality of local A&E's service

Barnsley East MP Michael Dugher has warned that plans to close an Accident and Emergency department in Huddersfield could force patients to be diverted to Barnsley.

Mr Dugher fears this move could affect the quality of local services ‘already struggling to cope with the demand,’ saying: “Barnsley Hospital saw 92.9 per cent of patients within four hours in November – below the Government’s own target of 95 per cent.”
