Moore was brought in to keep the struggling Reds in the Championship in the January transfer window for a £750,000 fee from Ipswich Town.

Although the former Rotherham United loanee has not bagged the goals - just three in 14 games - it is his workrate and getting those around him involved which has pleased supporters.

Moore picked up the Fans’ March Player of the Month award on Thursday and said: “I’m delighted to get the recognition. That shows they appreciate the job I do here.

“It’s always nice to know the fans are behind you and seeing the impact you’re making.

“I’m buzzing with the award and delighted to see I can have a positive impact on the team.

“Hopefully we can kick on now and get some more results for them and we need to get them three points.”

The Reds face Bolton Wanderers today in a crucial clash down at the bottom of the table.

Victory would send Jose Morais’ strugglers above the troubled Trotters and out of the drop zone.

The Reds need a revival and fast after a run which has yielded just three wins in their last 27 games.

Moore said: “It’s a crucial game. They’re two points ahead of us and winning would put us above them.

“We have five massive games now to achieve our goals.”

Assistant coach Dimas said: “Everybody is ready. We are prepared.

“We don’t look at other results. We focus on our own games.

“We’ve studied Bolton. They’re also on a bad run and we have to take advantage of that. They know the importance of the game as well so it’ll be interesting.

“They’re a direct opponent and it’s a massive three points on offer.

“Its five games until the end, five big finals, and we know how important they are.”
