The Reds take on Burton Albion later today before back-to-back home fixtures against struggling duo Wigan Athletic and Nottingham Forest after the international break.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side have already proved they can mix it with the big boys and Liverpool loanee Kent believes these are games the Reds should be picking up all three points from.

“We’ve already shown we can match the best teams in the league so these are the games we want to be taking all three points from,” admitted Kent.

“We’re confident heading into these games, especially after a good win to get us back on track at Brentford.

“We want to be winning every game and we’re confident heading into these games.

“Hopefully the last couple of weeks have shown that we’ve turned a corner and we can kick on from that now.”

Kent has never before faced off against the Brewers but he insists if the Reds can focus on their own game then they will come out on top.

He added: “I don’t really know too much about them to be fair, I’ve never played them before.

“I know they are a very hard working team off the ball and they’re quite difficult to break down.

“We’ll do our analysis on them before the game but the boys will just keep focused on doing what we’re doing.

“I’m sure if we can continue playing the way we’ve been playing then we’ll come out on top.

“We’re not going there underestimating them, because you can’t underestimate anyone in this league.

“We’ll go there with the right mentality and try to keep up the performance from the last few weeks to try and get the result.”

Elsewhere, first-team coach Jamie Clapham has extended his contract at Oakwell until the end of the season.

Right-back Andy Yiadom has been rewarded for his impressive performances by receiving an international call-up from Ghana for their World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
