Two people charged following the death of a 41-year-old man in Barnsley have been remanded in custody as they await their trial next year.
Shane Beadling, of Potterdyke Avenue, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, was found dead at a house on Bartholomew Street, Wombwell, on July 20.
Garry Count, aged 32, is accused of murder and perverting the course of justice, while Kerry Musgrave, 31, is charged with perverting the course of justice.
The pair, both of Bartholomew Street, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court, where Judge Simon Lawler QC denied them bail.
They will appear again on October 16 for a pre-trial hearing, returning on January 14 next year for trial.
Shane’s family said they had been left ‘heartbroken and devastated’ by his death.
