Barnsley grunge band could play Isle of Wight Festival

Barnsley grunge band Hands Off Gretel are in with a chance of playing the Isle of Wight Festival, after securing their place in the final of the Live and

Unsigned competition. 

The band, founded by singer-songwriter Lauren Tate, will compete against seven others in front of festival organisers, at the live final of the contest in Putney,

The band has a 10-minute slot to impress judges.

Its gigs this year include Whitby Goth Weekend, Camden Rocks Festival and the Liverpool Tattoo convention.
