Barnsley FC fans celebrate first ever trophy win

Hundreds of Barnsley FC fans gathered in the town centre to catch a glimpse of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after their recent Wembley triumph.

The Tykes paraded their silverware to jubilant fans from the balcony of the Town Hall on Thursday evening – after beating Oxford United 3-2 to win the competition for the first time on Sunday.

Barnsley caretaker boss Paul Heckingbottom, said: “The support and atmosphere at Wembley on Sunday was absolutely incredible. It was a proud moment for everyone associated with Barnsley.”
