WOULD-BE entrepreneurs looking for guidance on setting up their own business can get off to the best possible start by sniffing out a bargain at Barnsley College.

The Skills for Starting a Business course, which runs on Fridays from 9am to 1pm, beginning on February 8, is available at less than half the normal price – £150.

The sessions, running for 18 weeks, cover all aspects of starting a business including financial planning, marketing and sales, legal considerations and how to use social media to win customers.

Louise Simpson, programme manager, said: “This course is ideal for budding entrepreneurs and will teach the fundamentals of setting up and running a business.”
