The Star understands the Reds have already turned down bids from three separate Championship clubs for the sought-after striker.

Paul Warne is keen on a reunion with the player who impressed during a loan spell at AESSEAL New York Stadium last term.

And the Millers are reportedly ready to table a £1 million bid for the former Ipswich Town hitman, who scored 13 goals in 22 League One outings during his loan stint at the club.

Warne has stated any incomings at the Millers would have to buy in to what they are trying to achieve at the club and not disrupt the atmosphere of the group.

On that basis alone, Moore would be the perfect signing after spending the start of last season with the Millers and proving a popular member in the dressing room.

There is significant interest around the Championship for the player who is understood to have a release clause in his Oakwell contract.

Prior to the Reds’ relegation, Moore admitted he was desperate to avoid dropping back to League One after finally getting his Championship chance.

Moore failed to continue the impressive form he showed earlier in the season after joining the Reds.

The 24-year-old netted just four times 20 appearances for Barnsley, but his workrate caught the eye of a host of potential suitors.

Barnsley are expecting improved bids during the window and may have a battle on their hands to keep Moore.
