Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Wednesday, July 11, how Paul Bullock, 37, of Willow Avenue, Ripley, was stopped by police on Steam Mill Lane, at Ripley, while he was driving a Citroen vehicle.
Prosecuting solicitor Lynn Bickley said: “On February 12, at 4.55pm, police stopped a Citroen vehicle on Steam Mill Lane, in Ripley, and Mr Bullock was the driver and checks showed he is a disqualified driver.
“He was interviewed and made full admissions.”
Bullock told police he had owned the vehicle about six months, according to Mrs Bickley, and added that he had arranged insurance previously but it had run out.

The court heard that the defendant had been disqualified in January for 12 months after he had been driving previously without insurance.
Bullock pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and to driving without insurance after he was stopped in February.
Magistrates sentenced Bullock to a 12 month community order with 120 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and was further disqualified from driving for 12 months.
