Fireball’s Hottest Band 2019 competition aims to find “the best up-and-coming bands to play alongside Flogging Molly, Face to Face and Lost in Stereo” on the Fuelling the Fire tour, which includes a show at Sheffield’s O2 Academy on Monday, December 10.

The top three bands from each city will perform at five regional heats, which will be narrowed down to nine bands by a panel of established industry judges.

The winner from each city will play the tour date in their hometown, and the overall finalist from these nine bands will get a slot on the entire tour in 2019 – a feat won by Sheffield’s Sweet Little Machine tour for the 2017 tour.

Sweet Little Machine said: “We’d definitely recommend to anyone to enter, because the platform Fireball and Academy Events have been able to offer us opened up all of these doors to get our music out to a wider audience.”

James Pattison, of Fireball UK, said: “I’m delighted to have the Fuelling The Fire Tour return.

“We’ve had some memorable nights over the past two years with some fantastic bands. I’m confident this line-up is going to make it the best yet.”
