A band has appealed for help to catch the burglars who stole its guitarist's equipment in Sheffield.

The Roosters said thieves had stolen the majority of Adrian 'Jimi' Westwood's gear, including a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar, in the Sheffield area last night.

The Leeds-based blues, rock and pop outfit, which has been going for more than 25 years, asked followers to 'share the hell' out of this' appeal to help reunite him with the equipment.

The band said the list of equipment stolen is:

1 x left handed Gibson Les Paul Studio (red) in Gibson case

1 x Orange Tiny terror amp in case

1 x Budda Superdrive 18 amp

1 x Zilla 2x12 cab

1 x fully loaded PedalTrain pedal board inc Sennheiser wireless receiver and mxr micro amp, buddy guy wah wah, boss tuner.
