Can someone tell me why we celebrate an attempted murder that happened a few hundred years ago please?

Because that’s what it was, let’s face it.

Yes, I’m talking about the gunpowder plot. What next?

Why not have a public holiday to commemorate the Great Train Robbery?

I mean, what purpose does it achieve?

All it causes is a lot of pain and suffering for parents with their kids suffering burns.

Now we’ve got these idiots rioting with fireworks on Abbeydale Road and others luring the police to an estate so they can set their car on fire.

Well here’s an idea, ban this stupid excuse of a celebration.

No bonfires, no fireworks equals no accidents and no rioting, or is that too simple?
