Baker’s charity dough-nation

A SERVICE which provides free furniture for homeless and vulnerable people in Sheffield has received some extra ‘dough’ from Greggs bakers.

St Vincent’s Furniture Store, based on Queens Road, was given a £2,000 donation from The Greggs Foundation - the charitable arm of the bakery chain.

Ralph Dickins, from the city branch of the St Vincent De Paul Society, which runs the store, said: “We are delighted to receive much needed funding. It will help us to maintain this valuable free service in helping to deliver furniture and other items to our clients.”

St Vincent’s Store is celebrating 25 years since opening its Sheffield store and has helped more than 60,000 clients during that time.
