The postman put a card through my letterbox, informing me that I could not have an item delivered because there was a fee to pay, as the sender did not pay the full postage.
I could call at the delivery office and pay £2 to collect it.
The item turned out to be a Christmas card from a lady in her 90s, who has difficulty in writing, and had omitted to put a stamp on the envelope.
How can this be justifiable? I had to go out of my way to collect it and would willingly have paid a little extra for the stamp, but £2 is outrageous?
