Bags warning over mugging
WOMEN are being advised to take more care of their handbags after a woman was mugged in Bennetthorpe.
A 52-year-old woman was between the racecourse and the Rockingham Arms Hotel when her handbag was snatched from her shoulder.
The robber rode off on a mountain bike towards Town Fields. The gold bag contained a mobile phone, a pair of glasses, make-up and cash.
The man was white, in his mid 20s, of slim build with a good skin complexion.
