A large bag of cropped cannabis is to be destroyed by South Yorkshire Police after it was found dumped on a Sheffield street.

Police officers were stopped by a member of the public in Firth Park yesterday afternoon after finding a black bag full of cropped cannabis on some grass banking on Cammel Road, Firth Park.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Officers were stopped by a member of the public reporting a quantity of cannabis had been dumped on Cammel Road.

"Officers carried out a search and found a large black bag full of cannabis on the grass banking on Cammel Road.

"The drugs were seized and will be destroyed."
